photoblog image anchored

anchored

It is in an alien land with an alien tongue that I am able to set course on rediscovering the tangibility of my soul. The new sights, sounds, textures, smells and tastes recalls forgotten childhood years when I looked at the world with an unashamed awe and enthusiasm. O that I could have my heart leap and my voice squeal with delight like a child again. What a happier and more marvellous place the world was back then.

I still like it. Strong words in your poem.
Carl Kirstein: Thanks Louis... I have replaced the poem though. It was a bit too forced, and did not quite get at what I was trying to say. The new words are far more to my own liking.
Baie mooi, Carl! The editing, composition and mood (as well as the poem) is great.
Carl Kirstein: Dankie... I have removed the poem though. It did not *quite* capture the essence of what I was trying to say. I have replaced the poem with a nostalgic musing. smile

I like your abstract of the cracked soil.
WOW i think this is best image on shutterchance today, its awesomely composed and has a lot of drama
Carl Kirstein: Thankyou

time to check out CS3. Wonderful work. i particularly like the changes to sky and anchor.
Carl Kirstein: I knew CS3 was going to be good, but it has surpassed my expectations... which is always a good thing smile

All I need now is for the magazines and training stuff to get up to speed on CS3... there is much still to learn
really like this pic mick.
Carl Kirstein: cool, thanks. This photo is, in my opinion, the best one I have taken so far.

This is awesome! It feels as if the clouds are pulling the boat backwards into the sea, it's an incredibly powerful image. I like it a lot.
Carl Kirstein: me too smile

Cracking image - great depth of field & excellent mono-effect.
Carl Kirstein: Thankyou very much
Carl, si querías añadir dramatismo a la imágen... lo has conseguido. Si en la anterior lo importante era la perspectiva, aquí, además de perspectiva hay un dramatismo asombroso. Un trabajo muy bueno. (Likey) smile

Carl, if you wanted to add to dramatic quality to the image... you have obtained it. If in previous the important one it were the perspective, here, in addition to perspective there is an amazing dramatic quality. A very good work. (Likey) smile
Carl Kirstein: Thankyou, I wanted this image to be dramatic. smile
