I'm wndering why you didn't use a higher ISO, so you could decrease the shutterspeed for a more focused shot, I've checked your archives and can see you are no newbie, so your interpretation would well appreciated.

Carl Kirstein: My major gripe is that my Canon 30D gives unacceptable horizontal banding in the red channel at ISO 800 and higher. I have sent my camera in before for them to sort it out, but alas, they could not. Since the show was using a substantial amount of red, I sacrificed the shutterspeed in favour of a cleaner image. I thouht in anyway that the increase shutterspeed would not have made much of a difference to the blurs of the dancers on stage (1/25th vs 1/60th at ISO1600).

But this shot I chose because of the energetic motion (hence the title) and the curious areas that are in focus (more or less in anyways). So I like it as it is

Carl Kirstein: More seem to dislike it, but I do not really care at this point in time. I use this blog primariily to post original images. I won't be putting something (easily) in here that I have done before.
